구연산 칼슘과 비타민 D가 첨가되어 최대한 칼슘의 흡수율을 높인 칼슘 보충제입니다.텍사스 대학 사우스 웨스턴 메디컬센터의 연구에 의하면, 초기 폐경기 여성의 골다공증 (osteoporosis)을 방지하는데 칼슘 탄산염(calcium carbonate)보다 칼슘 구연산염 (calcium citrate)이 더 잘 흡수된다는 연구결과 보고가 있습니다.
구연산 칼슘은 특히 소화흡수가 잘되며 단백질과 지방의 소화흡수를 도와주며 에너지를 공급해 주고 혈액응고를 도와줍니다.
비타민 D는 칼슘의 흡수율을 놓이며 신장에 축적되는 것을 막아주는 역할을 합니다.
